She's getting so big! :)

We can literally see feet now - like when she kicks my tummy, it doesn't look like an elbow...it actually is rectangularly foot shaped lol. Crazy, huh??

So Christopher and I had our first Obstetrics appointment! :) We're developing our Birthing plan and getting the prices and stuff finalized.

So they changed my due-date yet again back to April 3rd - possibly. That would skip me again to 24 weeks today.

I feel like a beached whale. I know I'm not that big really - but I've gotten to that milestone where everything throws me off balance a bit and I've started to 'waddle'. Yes, I weigh in at a whopping 130lbs (gaining literally 18lbs total so far) - yes you've read right...the lightest whale you've ever seen. I'm really not that skinny, promise. It's the 5 feet tall thing that throws the weight perspective around.

I'm also going through a bit of Braxton Hicks contractions. I've had them for about 4 days now and it's pretty annoying. The contractions don't hurt or anything. It just feels like this inner-tube of pressure that goes around my pelvis, hips, vagooch, and lower back. If real contractions are similar to this - It's reassuring and I think I'll be ok! :) I know the contractions will get tougher in labor...it just gives me this random weird feeling like I won't be suffering terribly during labor if the pre-contractions aren't even on the Richter scale. SHH! Just let me dream! I've read too many horror stories of labor to not try to be positive, lmao!!

Well that's the update so far! :) So far the start of the 3rd trimester has been ok! I'm looking forward to the challenges coming up!

OH DEAR GOD - prepare for a longer blog post, haha!

Sorry I haven't been able to post much lately... there has been so much going on.

From our last ultrasound - Isabelle is actually a week older than we thought! :) She's officially 22.6 weeks old! :)

Forgive the glare in these photos, I'm not sure why they were glaring so much - and didn't have time to reshoot them.

Yes, I'm indeed getting much larger and my hips are suffering because of it. Taking quite a few Epsom Salt baths as well as heat pads/jars lately.

I'm just about 125-127lbs now, lol; the HEAVIEST i've ever been in my life. I keep saying that at every milestone - first was 115, 120, now 125. I know, most of you are probably thinking, "Ah, quit yer cryin'! That's TINY!" - well if you're 5 feet tall, nearing 130lbs is a lot of weight on a small frame. It's making things hurt that never really hurt before, lol. Not complaining - it's just not as easy as it sounds.

A few new things:

I've cut my hair really short - because of all the clumps of hair falling out and all the new baby hair growing in. My hair is growing in so fast...and all my older hair fell out.

It's almost too short for me usually - but I'm getting used to not having to do anything to my hair atm. It's really convenient!

SPLURGE GIRO purchase of a whopping $1.75!! I initially bought JUST the wreath for a buck, then bought berries and leaves which I hot glue gunned to the branches. :D I think it turned out well worth over $1.75! :D Sweet deal!

And thanks to my Mom & Dad for random surprise sending Christopher some winter wear for biking to school every day in the rain. It's been tough - but he's been really diligent about getting there rain/sleet/pseudo-snow. He's a great trooper! :)

Well dun dun na! I've almost finished working on Isabelle's room! :D I used not-as-toxic paint with a really really good mask on - and made sure that the room was very ventilated.

Here was the photoshop concept and the 'Before' Shots:

Then comes the Taping:

..Then the white:

Then...I did the pink today...

Then peeling off the tape and seeing the final (sorta) product:

TA-DA! :)

What a wonderful day. :)

We have some wonderful and revised information for you!

...for starters:

It's a girl!

Her name is: Isabelle Akemi Brown
Her gestational age is officially: 20.4 weeks old
(I am 21.4 weeks pregnant)

Her name was influenced from a character from one of our favorite shows, Grey's Anatomy. We loved the idea of nicknaming her Izzy for short. Isabelle just seems like such a fun and feminine name that we both enjoyed.

Akemi, the middle name was originally from my old best friends' little sister. I never really thought about it since. Christopher just mentioned that it would be nice to preserve their Japanese culture by using Japanese middle names. We ended up looking up a bunch of Japanese names and both agreed that this one was pretty cute.
Akemi

The name Akemi is a baby girl name. The name Akemi comes from Japanese origin. In Japanese the meaning of the name Akemi is: Ake: bright, Mi: beautiful. It also means Beautiful sunrise/dawn.
