So we have chosen some names:
Logan Toshio Brown - Toshio is after my grandfather's Japanese name (what his whole family calls him).
Isabelle Akemi Brown - :)

Happy 13th Week, Baby Brown! :) We love you!
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3
So Baby Brown and I have stealthily reached week 13 without any scratches! He bugs me quite a bit nowadays! When I start getting really tired, I've noticed that the baby gets 'grumpy' also, lol. Don't ask me how that makes any sense at all, but if I haven't taken a rest in a while, the baby tends to move around and jab harder. Right when I stop moving and just 'rest', the baby calms down. It's amazing, lol.
Dr. Thorne says I can feel the baby because I'm short/little. Apparently, since I'm short/little, the baby is 'larger' in my body cavity - thus allowing me to be a ton more sensitive to subtle movement/changes. Whatever it is, it's pretty fun being able to tell my friends/family, "GAH! Donna my baby is angry with me and wants me to sit down, lol!"
- - -
So anyway, I'm not sure what you all have heard, but I have in fact been dealing with a fairly horrid head cold/flu. I've only had a slight fever for a few days - but since I can't take any medication aside from Tylenol, all the other symptoms have seemed to linger. I'm not supposed to be contagious anymore - I just felt like poo for a while.
Dr. Thorne was close to treating me for 'H1N1', lol...even though I didn't have it - just to protect me from the virus. Apparently pregnant women are really susceptible to it. *shrug* I hate flu vaccinations, lol...because they always seem to do more harm than good. We're not going through with the vaccination for h1n1 for now, but I'm open to treatment in the future - if needed.
- - -
So on another note, Christopher and I won the house bid! We are officially home owners!
I'm so over emotional right now with all these hormones! Literally crying every 15 minutes for some new stress; Good AND bad.
We just got through our 13 week prenatal and I cried through that too, lol. The doctor used the Doppler device and found Baby Brown's strong and healthy heartbeat. It was such a proud moment, I didn't know how to hold any tears back.
I know - WHAT the HECK is going on? Am I saying this? My Mother and Father are probably reading this thinking, "Who are you and what have you done with our daughter??!" Hahaha
I just can't wait to bring Little Brown into this world; Into a loving and warm household. We're not rich, but we're responsible and loving; That's what matters to us for now. When Christopher and I have to tell our Child(ren? haha) the birds and the bees story for the first time, we can literally start off the story with, "When Mommies and Daddies love each other very much..." because despite our rough beginning - I can appreciate how fortunate we are; That we're not as 'worse-off' as many families in the world.
Thanks to everyone who has made our lives [---this---] much easier. :) We really appreciate all of it. It's unfortunate, but to those who have not made our lives easier: May God guide you in the right direction and help you with your problems. It's easy to contemplate bad events that have happened with people in life (and/or wonder why things happened the way they did), but people have reasons for bad behavior. I'm not saying that it's OKAY to be treated badly by people, just merely saying that sometimes they can't prevent the way they act. They're that way because they came that way from events that have effected them. I just can't hate people for being depressed or even ignorant. It sure is annoying sometimes, but everyone's heart beats at a different pace.
I think I've finally fully understood the 'dismissive' quality that my mother does so well (which I USED TO HATE SOOO MUCH AS A CHILD). "Go to the other side. Forget it." It basically means - "steer clear of the roadblocks". If people are bringing you down consistently, then they're not your friends to begin with. If they're causing you grief from making a mountain out of a molehill, then stay away until they've cooled off so you don't keep adding kindling and dry paper to their already burning fire. It's not being mean - it's being fair to both sides. They can come to you when they're ready for friendship. You're not their mother, nor are you the friendship police. "Screw it! They're adults!"
Sorry about that long rant, haha.
I've just been hanging around Donna Hamilton a bunch lately :). We get along really well, lol. We just seem to have a very similar way of thinking/humor lol. We talk about random going on's in life & in Gabriola, but when it comes to Haven gossip - lol we could really REALLY give a shit less. We call it like we see it and if it isn't the case, we ignore it. I REALLY don't care of what ________ does with her husband or who is ________ing who. I don't even know these people. LOL it's just wonderful when our major topics of 'gossip' revolve around Girl Guides and who's allergic to what, and what our husbands like to do in their 'free' time. ;) haha
We're really blunt, haha it's fun. Real women don't have to hide behind friends or computer screens to speak their minds, lol.
- - -
Anyway, some fun baby things:
So far we've decided on Ethan Roman/Isabelle Marie for baby names. We're not too sure about Ethan right now. Christopher likes the name Aiden. I like the name Isaiah, LOL. When I told Christopher, "Hey Honey! What about Isaiah?" he responded, "Isaiah Roman?? OH SUUUURE BABE, Why don't we just name our next kids: JESUSMARYANDJOSEPH, Corinthians, Luke, Mark, and Revelations??" LOL<3 Even my mother wouldn't approve of that, hahaha. I thought Isaiah was a really sweet name! It's a name my grandmother would be able to pronounce, hahaha! AI-ZE-YA! :)

How wonderful 12 weeks pregnant is. No, Seriously - It's wonderful.
Highlights:
There are definitely NEW weird feelings, though...lol. Avert your eyes if you are easily grossed out, lol. I apologize ahead of time if I have mentally scarred you.
That's pretty much it for now! :) I'll keep posting once I get more info.
Highlights:
- The morning sickness literally DISAPPEARS! LITERALLY, POOF!
- The mood swings are muted, THANK GOD!!
- The weird bloating is gone! I actually feel smaller than I did at 11 weeks because of the lack of bloating. :) My abdomen is still 'rotund', yet everything else is 'normal'. No excess air in my tummy! WOOOO!
- Weird Pimply breakouts no longer exist! :D
- I CAN EAT FOOD without feeling sick to smells and puking! :D
- My feet and fingers aren't swelling anymore! :D
- DUN DUNN NAAAA!!! The ENERGY has returned!!! I can do laundry and move around the house normally now without feeling like I've just ran a 10k marathon, haha. :D
There are definitely NEW weird feelings, though...lol. Avert your eyes if you are easily grossed out, lol. I apologize ahead of time if I have mentally scarred you.
- My farts are super stinky, lol. I'm eating the same stuff - but for some reason, my body seems to be processing it quite a bit differently. I haven't been constipated my whole pregnancy at all (since I'm craving pineapple), but my gas & poop have definitely changed in odor...for the worse! MAYBE it's payback for all the silent but deadly farts Christopher has 'bestowed' upon us, hahaha!
- My nipples are SORE!!!! >.< JESUS. AND I'm lactating some weird stuff. I don't think it's milk, but it definitely is something gnarly. It never comes out liquidy - I just find remnants of weird stuff on my bra.
- Uterine Cramps! HOLY BAJESUS this stuff can cripple an athlete. You'll be walking along...doing normal things, then BAM! You're clenching your abdomen. It's not terribly painful at all. It's more of a shock factor than anything. It just feels like your insides are stretching, literally.
- The fluttering. I can feel weird sorta indigestion/gas like bubbles in my lower abdomen. I've been told recently that It's most likely the baby moving and me just being really sensitive to the movement. It happens the most when I lay down in bed and/or when Christopher flops around like an orca (in bed). The baby probably thinks, 'WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT!? EARTHQUAKE?!?!'. It's great fun, hahaha.
- I have found out that my Pineapple craving is selective, unfortunately. I'm not craving canned pineapple at all, for some weird reason. I like fresh pineapple (HOLY COW I could eat it at every meal of the day) AND Five Alive Orange Pineapple Juice. LOL, Christopher and I have this pint glass - and I fill it up a few times a day full of that orange/pineapple juice. Well :D at least the kid won't be Vitamin C deficient, haha!

That's pretty much it for now! :) I'll keep posting once I get more info.

Happy 11 week bday Baby Brown! <3
So far, the morning sickness has been quite seldom, although I still have periodic episodes of absolute pukey-ness.
Recent Bodily Findings (lol?):
Sometimes I feel swollen in areas of my body. My fingers have gotten swollen periodically...making my rings almost impossible to take off, haha! It's painful sometimes. I think I'm going to have to find a 'temporary' wedding band soon, that's a little larger than my current rings. Luckily, the swelling doesn't happen all the time.
Also, I've been having these slight fluttering 'pains' in my lower abdomen. It happens at random times of the day - but seems to be consistent when I lay down. When I go to bed and lay on my right side, the bubble of where the fluttering happens seems to be lower towards the bed (my right side). If I turn over to my left side, the bubble of fluttering tends to follow, haha. I initially thought these were 'cramps', but I've recently found out that it's most likely the baby moving. The feeling is almost like 'gas' or 'indigestion' except...not, haha and in my lower abdomen. I really don't know how to describe the feeling other than being miraculous and wonderful.
Christopher said, 'Yeah, you can tell It's one of mine (his kids)...because it's already flopping around like an orca!' <3 LOL
Another change that I'm adjusting to - is being unbelievably emotional. Dear GOD, I'm emotional. I'm so easy to predict right now, It's nuts. As in: If I haven't had enough sleep or am overwhelmingly tired, then I'll be cranky. If I'm hungry, I'll be sluggish and upset. Everything else - I'm either overjoyed or ABSOLUTELY loving, or the exact opposite. It's a darned roller coaster ride and I SUCK AT IT, hahaha!
For example: I checked my mail this morning and the 'Congratulations! You've reached week 11' email came in. It said: 'Congratulations, your baby is now a fetus!
As of 11 weeks, your little one is officially considered a fetus and the most critical stage of development is over. Let the rapid growth stage begin. For those women who have thoughts of miscarriage in mind, your odds drop considerably soon. Measuring 1.5 inches from crown to rump, your little one is about the size of a fig. There is so much going on inside of you that one can only imagine. And the best is yet to come!'
I proceeded to cry and not tear, but BAWL because of how wonderful it was...then proceed to BAWL because of our hectic situation. What the fuck is with that?!?! (LOL, I know...it's the hormones. It's just hilarious and almost embarrassing.) I keep thinking out loud - 'HOLY JESUS, I'm SO pathetic!' then...the logic kicks in and I quickly change my statement to, 'HOLY JESUS, I'm SO pregnant!' haha!
- - -
I really hope everything works out well with my Mom's surgical recovery, my Grandpa's eye surgery recovery, my Uncle's half burned down home that's being fixed, the Bid that we're putting on the home, Russ & Kathy's progress w/ their basement, Christopher's schooling and work, and last but not least (as I bawl just because I'm emotional and typing this, lol) my little peanut who continues to make us proud just by being alive.
We can't wait to bring you into this world, love!

gDiapers Starter Kit - Earth-friendly hybrid diaper - Buy at Diapers.com - Fast Free Shipping

I found these wonderful diapers. I really like them and think I'll be giving them a shot. It's has the money saving qualities and safe disposal for the environment that the cloth diapers have, and also doesn't require you to scrape off and/or wash baby poop off of cloth diapers all the time that could lead to wasting water and soap.
This diaper has pad inserts that you can 'flush' although i won't be flushing these on gabriola. I'll still use a diaper genie, and dispose of the diaper linings that way - but this way, I don't have to buy like 20 cloth diapers and keep rotating them because they need to be washed.
Here's the link anyway:

Anyway, I just felt absolutely gross about washing poop diapers in the washing machine when I'd be washing face cloths and such afterward. Not that the poop would really transfer ever - and that it's particularly harmful, but I'm quite the germa-phobe sometimes and it gave me the willies. I also couldn't fathom or promote the disposal of 5000 things of diapers a week. Living on Gabriola would definitely not allow me to waste water w/ cloth diapers, as well as throw away the world w/ regular diapers also.
I think this could be a great inexpensive solution.
The only downside is that I'd have to ship to the states and have it sent up :(. They don't ship to Canada yet! : \ AHH!!

I showed early. As soon as we were pregnant, I started showing in my 6th week. 'Showing' being that my uterus was large enough to make my tummy look like I had a miniature bowling ball in my lower abdomen.
This is my tummy profile at 7 Weeks 2 Days and at 9 weeks 3 days:

Everything Prior to September
I guess I should do a summary of events up until this point:
Conception Date: July 2, 2009 (Our Honeymoon)
I had terrible Morning Sickness in my 6th and 7th week. All other weeks seemed fairly normal - with periodic morning sickness. In my 6th week, it got so bad that I would be hunched over the toilet on and off for 6 hours straight. Everything seemed to be alright - and the Dr. soon after prescribed me a light pregnancy nausea pill. :)
