Sorry it's taken me so long to update this thing. We've had a ton of family visits lately, pre-natal courses, as well as pre-natal labs/tests.
I have gestational diabetes due to the fact that I'm Asian AND have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I honestly feel like A-Rod sometimes, where it's not enough that he plays for the American League - where the stadiums cater to heavy hitting out of the park plays (with their higher strike zones and shorter center fields); He has to be on steroids on top of that. It's as if luck doesn't apply anymore, lol - that he's just destined to hit home runs. I'm bitter, lol ...bitter for all of Major League Baseball. At least Sammy Sousa, Barry Bonds, and Manny Ramirez played for the National League. They START with a chip on their shoulder.
What was I talking about again? Hahaha...gestational diabetes? hahaha...
So the downfalls with Gestational Diabetes is that it's JUST during my pregnancy. Why is that a downfall? Well because there's absolutely nothing I can do to prevent or stop it from happening during my pregnancy. Literally - I passed my cholesterol, blood pressure, and weight gain with flying colors. The only thing that didn't pass was the amount of insulin production in my body.
What that means is that (in my case) regardless of what I eat, healthy or unhealthy - I still don't produce enough insulin to combat the amount of glucose (if I don't get help from insulin injections that is). It's not horrible...lol it just means I'm going to have a HUGEASS baby, lol that's going to be hungry a lot.
On another note, she's doing great. She's like 4.5lbs now and healthy - YES, she's a BIG'un and I STILL have circa 10 weeks left before the Thundercats are 'HOOOoo'. Can you imagine that? HOLY CRAP - am I the only one that's afraid for my Vagood-girl? JEEEEESUS. I know, it'll be fine - lol. Science is advanced, and so is medicine. I swear, I need to make a shirt if she's a 10 pound baby...like one of those, 'Congratulations! You've survived _____ roller coaster ride!' :P
